Play Style
I play main tank (Huge surprise) and carry a two hander for when I am not.

I use mainly shield tree skills, saving parry for two hander user.

Right now, I spread-load to advance Class traits during normal combat, during tougher fights, I focus on holding aggro, and stuns.

Guardian's Defence is on 95% of the time, I open fights with Shield-blow (if solo, open with Guardian's Ward). Follow with Guardian's ward (Unless solo, then alternate shield blow for the damage it gives) for the improved block/parry chance. Always use block skills when the opportunity presents itself, shield-swipe does decent damage and adds threat (aggro), follow with Bash to stun, or catch a breath if you need HP. Keeping in mind that Catch a Breath opens you up for some damage, so if it's a close fight, and the enemy is almost dead, just Bash.

Sweeping cut is great for pulling aggro in the beginning of the fight if 2+ mobs pull. Just make sure your group knows to assist your main pull. It's also a double attack, so it's good for extra damage. No traits come off of it, so don't waste too much energy on it.

Use vexing blow to pull extra threat, or to gain aggro if your shield-blow is recharging.
Key Equipment
I've got enough +Vit to push HP to almost 1,100.

Other odds and ends include 2 purple weapons (Club of the Adventurer, Axe of the Long Winter).

Armor is right under 700

I use the best food I can constantly, as the free healing during combat means you essentially have 50-300 extra HP depending on length of engagement.

I boost HP further with +Vit snacks.
