While soloing use 2 one-handed weapons and the trait set-up as of above.

While Tanking change the axe bonus race trait to the shield brawler trait, also change Time of Need class trait to Heavy Shield Use trait for use of heavy shields.

For Tanking weapons use your best weapon (sword/daggar/spear) and a heavy shield.
Key Equipment
Wear Vitality gear when tanking for a group to improve health, and have a might weapon or shield.

Wear Might and Vitality evened out gear when soloing with 2 weapons, might or vitality.

Might gear usually comes with agility also this is good as Agility increases your ability to evade and parry incoming blows, increases your chance to critically hit a foe, and adds to the amount of damage you deal with a ranged weapon. It also reduces your miss chance.

The Vitality gear helps because Vitality increases your maximum morale, ability to regenerate morale when not in combat, resistances to Wound, Disease, and Poison. It also reduces incoming damage from non-weapon sources like Shadow and Fire. 1 Point of Vitality equates to 3 points of Morale.

The Might increases your ability to block incoming attacks with a shield, parry incoming blows, or cause greater damage with a weapon. It also reduces incoming damage from common sources.
